This role would suit a retiree with a technical background who is seeking a part time - ish role with a reasonable rate of pay. Though you will be expected to get to customer appointments on time, and present yourself professionally the role will carry no pressure or company politics.

Byfield Lofts & Insulation require a technical surveyor to visit potential customers in Herts, Beds, Bucks, Oxfordshire, and Surrey, look at their loft spaces and establish what should be done. 

You’ll manage your own diary by contacting and visiting people who have enquired via our website.

Our primary objective is the correct solution for the customer to minimise the heat losses through their roof.

Full training will be given which we expect to be complemented with some level of technical ability (across any field) that you already possess.

There is no salesmanship involved because our services are normally priced via an (internal) schedule of prices.

The successful candidate will be personable, good natured, have strong communication and analytical ability and their own reliable and clean and well presented transport.

The package will comprise of hourly rate (to be agreed) plus bounuses and a mileage allowance.
