If you’re a decent DIY’er or a tradesman of some sort then it’s likely you may want to install your own MVHR system.
Perhaps you’ve read up on it and watched all the stuff on YouTube etc and you’re just about ready to do it but you’d really like someone on the end of the phone to sanity check and just talk through any sticking points etc..
That’s fine I do telephone support time where you can pick up the phone and talk.
The minimum purchase is £150+ vat which is for an hour and is billed half hourly.
You can cover an awful lot in an hour and it may help you to just feel a lot more confident about the project if you know someone is there.

MVHR Seminar
Understanding MVHR — from the principles through to installation in a real world environment with case studies.
The course is ideally suited to the committed DIYer or professional tradesman who wants an understanding of how it works and wants to install a one off system in their own house or become a generally competent installer.
There is a large volume of stuff online which is difficult to wade through, and you’d be forgiven for thinking that the subject is rocket science when it really isn’t and the basics are easier to get to the bottom of that you may think.
The really difficult bit is working out how on earth you’re going to get the thing installed in the property you have without lousing it up.
Retrofit installations usually come with at least one specific substantial challenge which has to be negotiated in order to successfully complete the installation and negotiating this makes the difference between a good and bad installation.
The seminar is intended to guide you on that and we also offer post seminar “hand holding” to ensure you manage to complete your project successfully.
The emphasis is on understanding the principles behind the technology and the realities of real world installation so that attendees can make informed decisions about the right system for the building and avoid common design and installation mistakes.
The seminar covers:
• How supply and extract airflows work
• Heat recovery and efficiency
• Air quality and humidity control
• Filtration and incoming air quality
• How airtightness affects MVHR performance
• The relationship between ventilation, insulation and building fabric
• How to go about specifying a system
• How to install a system in a given property.
